Can you guarantee to get rid of my cat's behaviour problem?
Unfortunately I can not provide this guarantee. No one can. While many problem behaviours can be eliminated, some can't due to many factors that are outside of our control. That said, I will diligently work with you to reduce any problem behaviour as much as possible.
Do you help with dog behaviour problems?
In short - no. I have basic knowledge of dog behaviour and training, but have focused my career specifically on cats. If you are having issues with your cat behaving aggressively towards your dog, please message me and we can discuss your situation.
What qualifications do you have?
I have been an Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) for the last 18 years with both the ABVMA and the ABVTA.
I completed the International Society of Feline Medicine Advanced Feline Behaviour for Veterinary Professionals (graduating with distinction) course in April of 2023.
I have also obtained my Cat Friendly Veterinary Professional certification, and Silver level Low Stress Handling certification.
How long does a behavior consultation typically last?
The duration of a behavior consultation can vary depending on the specific issues and needs of your cat, but it usually lasts around 1.5-2 hours.
Do you use punishment to resolve problem behaviours?
My recommendations are all LIMA based (least intrusive and minimally aversive). This means I focus on positive reinforcement, training, environmental optimization, counter-conditioning, and redirection to reduce problem behaviours.

Do you offer in-home consultations?
No. Strangers coming into the home often cause cats more stress, and can make behaviour problems worse. I provide virtual consultations though video chats only.
Do you offer follow-up support after consultations?
Yes, after your consultation, I provide ongoing support and guidance for the following 30 days to help you implement training plans and maintain positive behavior changes in your cat. Additional virtual sessions can be purchased for additional training/guidance.
