What's Included in a Consultation?

  • An online video consult lasting up to 2 hours 
  • Detailed, and quick reference, notes from the consult
  • Handouts and/or access to videos to help you better understand recommendations/concepts
  • For 30 days following the consult, you can email me at any time for advice/updates so we can make changes to our plan, as needed, to help you reach your goals

What is Expected of Me?

  • Honesty - I'm not here to judge, I'm here to help, but I can only help  if I know the true story. 
  • Be open to change - resolving behaviour issues often requires that we make changes around the house, and to our routines. I work hard to create a plan with you that will work for you, but I do need you to be open to making some changes. 
  • Ask questions - If you don't understand something, or it doesn't make sense, please ask for clarification. I would rather explain something multiple times, in multiple different ways, then have you not understand.
  • Keep me posted - I do request that you send me an email at least once a week during the 30 day period to update me on the progress you are making, and of course, to ask any questions you have. 

What Happens During the Consultation?

  • I will send you a link to a private video session - you should not need to login/sign up for anything to access this. 
  • We will review the questionnaire that you completed and I will ask additional questions to help me better understand the situation / your concerns.
    • For behaviour consults:
      • We will then work together to determine WHY your cat(s) are likely doing this.  
      • I will have you take me on a tour of your house (so make sure your device is portable, or that you can switch to something portable)
      • Then we discuss a variety of possible changes / things to try to make to help decrease/stop these behaviours from occurring. 
      • Lastly, we will pick out the options that will best meet your cat's needs, your lifestyle, and your budget, so that we can create our final plan for success. 
    • For enrichment / training consults: 
      • I will have you take me on a tour of your house (so make sure your device is portable, or that you can switch to something portable)
      • Then we can discuss ways to optimize the feline resources to provide the best environment for them
      • Finally, we will discuss basic training techniques, and how to get your kitty started. 

Payment Information

  • Consultation are $130 
  • At this time, I only accept payment through e-transfers to catnursejocie@gmail.com
  • Full payment is required at least 48 hours prior to your video consultation
