What's Included in a Consultation?

  • A 2-hour consultation (up to) conducted via video

  • Detailed notes summarizing key points from the consult, with quick reference for your convenience

  • Handouts and/or video resources to help you better understand the recommendations and concepts we discuss

  • 30-day follow-up support: You can email me anytime with updates - or questions -  so we can make adjustments to your plan to ensure you’re on track toward your goals

What is Expected of Me?

  • Honesty - I'm not here to judge, I'm here to help, but I can only help  if I know the true story. 
  • Be open to change - resolving behaviour issues often requires that we make changes around the house, and to our routines. I work hard to create a plan with you that will work for you, but I do need you to be open to making some changes. 
  • Ask questions - If you don't understand something, or it doesn't make sense, please ask for clarification. I would rather explain something multiple times, in multiple different ways, then have you not understand.
  • Keep me posted - I do request that you send me an email at least once a week during the 30 day period to update me on the progress you are making, and of course, to ask any questions you have. 

What Happens During the Consultation?

  • Private Video Session: I’ll send you a link to a private video session—no login or sign-up required.

  • Review of the Questionnaire: We’ll go over the questionnaire you completed, and I’ll ask follow-up questions to better understand your situation and concerns.

For Behaviour Consultations:

  • Identify the Cause: Together, we’ll work to determine why your cat(s) may be displaying certain behaviours.

  • Home Tour: I’ll ask you to give me a tour of your home, so please make sure your device is portable or you can switch to a portable one during the session.

  • Discuss Solutions: We’ll explore various strategies to decrease or eliminate the unwanted behaviours.

  • Create Your Plan: We’ll then select the options that best suit your cat’s needs, your lifestyle, and your budget to create a plan for success.

For Enrichment / Training Consultations:

  • Home Tour: Just like with behaviour consultations, you’ll give me a tour of your home to assess your environment (make sure your device is portable).

  • Optimize Resources: We’ll talk about how to make your home the best environment for your cat by optimizing available resources.

  • Training Techniques: I’ll guide you through basic training techniques and help you get started with your kitty’s training.

Payment Information

  • Consultation Fee: $130 (tax included)
  • Payment Method: Currently, I only accept payments via e-transfer to catnursejocie@gmail.com
  • Payment Deadline: Full payment is required at least 48 hours before your scheduled video consultation.
